The Arab Gas Pipeline is back, and Syria is reconnecting to regional energy flows.
In August 2025, Türkiye began supplying Azeri gas to Syria through the newly completed 93-km Kilis–Aleppo segment, linked to the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline. Deliveries currently reach 3.4 MMCM/D, with plans to rise to 6 MMCM/D.
Syria also signed a new agreement with Nakkaş Holding for an additional 1.6 MMCM/D, financed by Qatar.
These flows are now partly powering the Aleppo, Tishreen, and Jandar plants, reportedly adding 4 to 6 extra hours of electricity according to the Ministry of Energy.
