A new letter from Republican and Democratic foreign policy leaders calls on the Biden Administration to oppose the ongoing normalization with Assad. The letter references the findings of our research on the regime's diversion of aid money through the manipulation of exchange rates.

Action on this front by donor governments needs to be taken urgently. It is very low-hanging fruit.
