Although Captagon is part of the US-led Global Coalition to Address Synthetic Drug Threats, its proliferation is primarily a Middle Eastern issue, receiving practically no public attention in the US compared to drugs such as Fentanyl.

One can expect the Coalition and the Captagon Act(s) to be enforced as passively as the rest of Biden’s policies toward the region.
