Following Prighozin’s death, Wagner’s presence in Syria is virtually over, according to Anton Mardasov. Most of its fighters who stayed in Syria have moved to Redut, a PMC owned by Igor Viktorovich Petrove and connected to Putin’s (other) crony, Genady Temchenko, and to the Ministry of Defense.

One can only assume that Putin has also forced the Assad regime to transfer the ownership of Prigozhin’s Mercury, Velada, Kapital, and Evro Polis companies, all of which are operating in the oil sector, to another crony.
