I scoured the web in search of photos showing how the 5k tonnes of bilateral earthquake relief aid sent from 25 countries to regime-held Syria is being distributed. I found only two measly photos. Where’s all the aid?
It turns out the two organizations tasked with “storing” that aid are:
– The Syrian Arab Red Crescent, headed by nightclub-owner-turned-humanitarian and regime crony Khaled Hboubabti
– The Syria Trust for Development, founded and headed by Asma al-Assad, the president’s wife.
