Syria Deserves Freedom from Outdated Sanctions

General licenses are not enough; they barely work, and there is absolutely no justification for Syria to remain under sanctions triggered by the ancien Assad regime.

Let alone adding new restrictions on the caretaker or the future interim government on who to engage with: Engaging with Russia or Iran is a Syrian decision.
