I told Aljazeera:
– My initial jubilation is giving way to fear as Russia and the Assad regime might choose to carpet bomb Aleppo the way they did to the Eastern part a decade ago.
– It’s unclear how much HTS has genuinely changed after denouncing al-Qaeda.
