Syrian Export Shifts Since the Conflict Began

We all know that Syria’s exports plummeted during the conflict. While registered exports stood at $12 billion USD in 2010, they fell to only $0.9 billion in 2020 (down 92.5%).

But look also at how considerably the composition shifted. Syria’s exports are currently overwhelmingly agricultural.
